Alumnae Washington DC

St Andrew Alumnae Association Inc – Washington DC Metro Chapter

A registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation Get in Touch: SAAA Washington, DC, formed in March 1990 with its primary mission being fundraising for the school by strengthening alumnae commitment and uniting Jamaicans in the Washington, DC area. Dr. Pamela Johnson, wife of then Ambassador Keith Johnson and herself an ‘old girl’, fittingly hosted the Chapter’s launch at the Ambassador’s residence in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Over the years alumnae from the Washington, DC, Virginia and Maryland area have rallied for fundraisers and networking events to support each other and their alma mater. The Chapter maintains a membership of over 100 alumnae. SAAA has established the Kathleen Reckord Memorial scholarship to assist needy SAHS students, lends support to alumnae studying in the area, and supports local education and culture projects. The Chapter has been ably led by presidents Debbie Lindo-Reed, Maxine Villiers Clark, Suzanne Graham-Agnant, Jessica Jones, Andrea Ewart, Hilary Reckord-Kirk and Judith McDonald (Grant)
