Under the chairmanship of alumna Maxine Henry-Wilson and Vice-Chair Ambassador Pat Durrant, the 90th Anniversary Committee comprised of students, alumnae, teachers, parents and members of the School Family, is moving into high gear for Homecoming Week, April 10-16.
Homecomings and Anniversary celebrations are only held every 5-years.This is our time to celebrate our remarkable contribution to education and to national life.
“We are inviting alumna, from near and far to journey home for this important event,” says Chair Maxine Henry-Wilson. Each day will be special as we celebrate the friendships made, the achievements attained, and the very special feelings of being ‘Andrews Girls’.
To date we have raised a new School flag, sang the School Song for the first time to a new arrangement, re-named the building to honour our past principals and vice-principals…and now we throw the spotlight on Homecoming Week — a national celebration of the School’s achievements highlighted by an exciting series of public events.
Our esteemed alumna, Professor Emerita the Honourable Elsa Leo-Rhynie, OJ, CD is the patron for the anniversary year. The theme – Enriched, Empowered, Abounding in God’s Favour
