Parents, Alumnae and Friends are welcome to join the celebration of the  91st Anniversary of the School’s  founding – Commemoration Day, Wednesday September 21, 2016 at 7:45am in the Garden Theatre.

This year’s Commemoration Service is under the theme “Celebrating Jesus and His Gift of the Life More Abundant”. School Chaplain, Rev Astor Carlyle, Pastor of the Webster Memorial Church will be the Guest Speaker. A special offering will be taken for the Little Lambs Basic School in St. Mary, Strathmore Gardens Child Care Facility in St. Catherine, the Wortley Home for Girls in St. Andrew and the Fund for Retired Ministers in the Methodist and United Churches.

Mrs. Reid notes in her letter of invitation, “As we give praise and thanks to the Lord for the many blessings that he has bestowed upon us over the past 91 years we have been strongly reminded of the mandate: “To provide a secondary education for our students in a Christian environment”. This she further adds, “is clearly articulated in the school’s mission given to us by the men and women of faith who had the vision and courage to establish this institution in 1925.”
