Llori Sharpe in less than an ideal temperature of 19°C (66°F) and a wet roadway, placed 2nd overall in the non-USA resident division of the USA National Triathlon Championships on Sunday, August 13 in Omaha, Nebraska .
She also placed 8th out of 32 competitors in the USA Division Female ages 16-19 with her time of 1hr 13 mins 45 seconds to complete the 750m swim, 20.7 km bike and 5.7 run.
Over 3,000 athletes converged at Carter Lake in Omaha to participate in Championships to qualify for the 2018 ITU sanctioned Standard Distance Triathlon World Championship in Gold Coast Australia in 2018.
Llori was invited to participate in the Championship, a testament to her international standing. She participated on her new bike purchased by the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) which was accessorised by the SAHS Family Fundraising effort with donations of USD $1,600.
